Is Yellow Dock Recommended For Dry Nose?

Yellow dock is a flowering herb that grows across the United
States and you can eat the leaves (in small quantities) in salads.
Some experts believe that yellow dock can help treat nasal and
lung congestion, and may be a remedy for dry nose. However,
these qualities have not been tested sufficiently and as such
yellow dock can’t be scientifically proven as a dry nose remedy.

Hyaluronic Acid Gel Treats Empty Nose Syndrome






























Empty nose syndrome is a complication of nose surgery which
"lacks a consensual definition, according to a 2012 study from
the Service d'ORL et chirurgie cervicofaciale, centre hospitalier
intercommunal in France.

Empty nose syndrome is one cause of a dry nose. Experts at the
Polish Medical Society, The Regional Otolaryngology and
Allergology Outpatient "PIAST," Grudziadz, Poland in 2011 used
intranasal injections of hyaluronic acid gel on empty nose
syndrome patients, which improved the symptoms of dry nose
for many months with no side effects.

Surgical Treatment for Dry Nose

If you suffer from dry nose due to empty nose syndrome, and
cannot find relief from alternative remedies, surgery may be an
option. 2007 research from MetroHealth Medical Center,
Cleveland showed that a surgical procedure to artificially replace
missing turbinate tissue resulted in a statistically significant
improvement in the symptoms associated with empty nose
syndrome such as dryness.

Live Healthy and Workout to Prevent Dry Nose

And finally, take the advice that’s offered to combat everything
from heart disease to stress – eat healthily, moderate your
alcohol intake and exercise regularly.

Too much alcohol, salt and caffeine can help dry out the mucous
membranes in the nose. When you exercise, you are drawing in
moisture through enhanced breathing through the nose. And
you also take on more water, which is in itself a good remedy
for dry nose.
