Heart disease is a puzzle whose answer is hiding in plain sight.
We in the West, and increasingly countries in the emerging
world as well, have been stymied by the problem of heart
disease. It's been called a "disease of affluence" because rates
of heart disease rise as median income increases in a nation.
There are exceptions of course, notably France and certain other
small Greek Islands and parts of Japan. But, generally, the rule
of rising income moving in lockstep with heart disease holds.  So
what is it about affluence that makes us so vulnerable to heart
disease?

For years, the medical orthodoxy pointed the finger at fatty
foods. The paradigm went like this: fatty foods clog arteries,
which lead to arterial dysfunction, which leads eventually to
heart disease.

But that orthodoxy was not the complete explanation for why
we have such high rates of heart disease.

The complete answer was discovered by Dr. Tolin Campbell. Dr.
Campbell, who conducted research funded for 27 years funded
by the American Cancer Society and the National Institutes of
Health, discovered that the key to lowering heart disease is
simple --- stop eating animals.

More precisely, stop eating animals and any food produced by
animals such as eggs and dairy. His ground-breaking work on
inhabitants of rural China, known as the China Study, revealed
the convincing connection between levels of animal protein
consumed and rates of heart disease.

Dairy Protein Is an Efficient Producer of Cancer


































Casein is the protein found in cow's milk. Dr. Campbell found
that casein is perhaps the world's most efficient producer of
cancer. There are three stages of cancer, initiation, growth and
proliferation. Casein promotes each of the three stages of cancer.

If this is true, and it has been convincingly proven to be true by
Dr. Campbell's almost 3O years of work, why hasn't there been a
paradigm shift in our view of animal protein and especially dairy
protein?  Why doesn't every school child know that dairy protein
promotes cancer?

Animal Protein Is the Reason We Get Heart Disease

Dr. Campbell also showed that it is almost impossible to get
heart disease if you only eat plant based proteins. It's animal
proteins that cause heart disease. Animal proteins start the
inflammation cascade that leads to the development of
bulges in
the lining of our arteries
and plaque covering the bulges that can
end of blocking blood flow and causing heart attacks.

As you lower your intake of protein to close to 5% or less of
your diet, you literally almost immunize yourself against heart
disease and cancer. That's not a bad trade. Give up animal
protein and in exchange, immunize yourself against two of the
three biggest causes of mortality in the West.


The Simple Way to Reverse Heart Disease

Now, doctors across America are beginning to try plant-based
diets as a strategy to reverse even advanced heart disease.

You will find Dr. Campbell's work, sometimes not attributed, as
the foundation of many of the wellness clinics and heart rehab
programs around the country. The successful programs all stand
on Dr. Campbell's brilliant work.

The interesting thing is, if nations begin to wholeheartedly
implement the wisdom of Dr. Campbell's work, literally millions
of lives will be saved annually.

Dr. Campbell may in fact go down in history as the man
responsible for saving more lives than any other in human
history, equal in scope and importance to the work of Dr. Jonas
Salk, the man who discovered penicillin.  

A Call for a Zero Tolerance Policy on Animal Protein in Our
Schools


By the time we are adults, most of us find it extremely difficult to
change our eating habits. Even if we know we should avoid
animal protein, most of us can't last 90 days without it ---
studies show that we lose the craving fro animal fat after
abstaining for 90 days.

But even if we can't always do what is best fr our health, it's not
too late fr our children. Heart disease starts as early, even in
childhood.

Now that we know the lifelong destruction to our health
wrought by animal protein, we have ample reason to call for a
zero tolerance policy against feeding animal protein to our
children in all our schools.

This could be the best investment we can make in our childrens'
health.
